Counter Order & Reservations

We would like to bring special attention to a service that we found some customers had been exploiting, namely Non-Stock Product Ordering and Product Reservation.
As a hobby store (even though we had been trying very hard) it is very difficult to stock all products from a particular manufacturer. When a customer wants a non-stock item, we will usually order the item right away without any obligations. This also hold true for customers who had called in or left email requesting us to reserve a particular in-stock item(s) for them to come and pick up.
However, we do find this increasingly difficult to provide such service because some customers had done so without picking up the reserved items. This is unfair to us since we need the extra manpower to hanndle the request and also unfair to other customers who actually wanted to buy the specific product.
With immediate effect, the following procedure had to be observed by our valued customers:
Non-Stock Items(s) - To order such item, customers will need to pay a 50% deposit based on the retail price. Once the item had arrived, we will notify you by phone and/or email to pick it up. The item will be on-hold at our store for up to two weeks after official notification. After that, we reserved the rights to sell the item at our store and the deposit being forfeited.
Product Reservation - We will only hold in-stock product for any particular customers for 3 days only. After which the item will be available for others to purchase.
